As Relevant As Ever

Timeless, riveting history of the immigrants who helped to build this country, sacrificing their health, happiness, and, too often, their lives to keep the wheels of progress turning. Can't believe it was written in 1941! Change the names of the workers, bosses, pols, and it's a story of whatever exploitative industry is making today's 1% rich. I was assigned this book in college. Glad I finally made time to read it some 30 years later.
